Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or any of their elements. It is also possible to request access to information by means of an alternative method, such as reading out a digitally unavailable document or describing the content of a video that lacks audio description. The request should include the requesting person’s contact details, an indication of the website or mobile application in question, and the preferred method of contact. If the person making the request wishes to receive the information via an alternative access method, they should also specify a preferred way of receiving it. The public entity should fulfill the request promptly, no later than within 7 days from the date of the request. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the public entity must immediately inform the requesting person when the request will be fulfilled — this period must not exceed 2 months from the date of the request. If providing digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative method of accessing the information.
Complaints procedure
If a public entity refuses to fulfill a request to ensure accessibility or to provide an alternative method of accessing information, the person making the request may file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or any of their elements. After the above procedure has been exhausted, a complaint can also be submitted to the Ombudsman (Commissioner for Human Rights). Complaints regarding lack of accessibility should be submitted to the Office for Persons with Disabilities:

Additional Information
Architectural Accessibility
Warsaw University of Technology, Main Building, pl. Politechniki 1, 00-661 Warsaw
The Main Building is a four-storey structure built on a symmetrical, irregular pentagon layout with rounded front corners. Inside the pentagon are three courtyards: a central one (known as the Main Hall or “Duża Aula”), a cloistered courtyard covered with a skylight, and two smaller open courtyards: Courtyard I and Courtyard II. The main entrance doors are elevated above the surrounding ground level at pl. Politechniki. Access to these doors is via external stairs on the square side, which cannot be bypassed. As a result, the main entrance is inaccessible to wheelchair users. An accessible entrance for wheelchair users is located by the vehicle entrance near Gate No. I from Noakowskiego Street. To reach it, one must enter through the gate at Noakowskiego 1, proceed along the facade, and enter Courtyard I through Gate I. In the courtyard, next to Staircase A, there is an external glass elevator that provides access to all floors of the building. Horizontal circulation inside the building is facilitated by wide corridors and cloisters around the courtyards. Most of the double doors to rooms are equipped with a handle allowing the second wing to be opened. The single wings alone are too narrow. Staff assistance is required to open both wings simultaneously. Along the cloisters, there are seating areas. Some rooms have thresholds of 2–4 cm.
The Main Building contains five staircases:
- Staircase A: with an external elevator nearby.
- Staircase B: located on the western facade.
- Staircase C: located on the southern courtyard side.
- Staircase D: near the Main Library.
- Staircase E: also on the southern courtyard side.
On Level IV, above the main entrance, there are interior stairs that cannot be bypassed by elevator, making this area inaccessible for wheelchair users. This level also includes local stairs leading to rooms and halls.
The staircases serve as evacuation routes through side doors into the courtyards. In the internal spiral staircase, there is one evacuation chair.
There are four elevators in the Main Building:
- Next to Staircase A – an external elevator accessible for wheelchair users.
- Equipped with tactile (Braille and raised numbers) and audio information.
- Next to Staircase D near the Main Library
- No tactile or audio signals.
- Allows access to all library levels but must be entered from the ground or first floor.
- Next to Staircase C, by the women’s restroom.
- Next to Staircase A, by the men’s restroom.
- Both elevators are too small to accommodate a wheelchair.
- Neither has tactile or audio indicators.
Assistance dogs are allowed in all areas of the Main Building. The building features room signage in Braille. There are two accessible restrooms: one women’s restroom next to Staircase C and one men’s restroom next to Staircase A. Both are located on the ground floor. There is no emergency call system. The restrooms include maneuvering space and space for side transfer (on the right side). Both are equipped with toilets featuring grab bars on both sides. Nearest parking spaces for people with disabilities:
- One space (perpendicular to the road) is available in the parking lot by the gate from Noakowskiego Street, 100 meters from the entrance.
- Another space is located directly by Gate II, around 20 meters from the building entrance.
- Additional public spaces for persons with disabilities are located on Nowowiejska and Noakowskiego Streets.
